Position: Full-time, salaried employee
Location: Boone, NC
Start Date: November 21, 2019


The WPC will oversee the strategic direction of all initiatives involving Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene (WASH) partners. This includes but is not limited to WASH partners using filters and/or involved in disaster relief preparedness initiatives. Furthermore, the WPC is responsible for managing the training, co-development, and evaluation of all projects implemented through WASH partners. Additionally, as a member of the International Programs Team, the WPC should constantly seek ways to better align WASH partners and projects with Wine To Water’s (W|W) international field offices.


The WPC will regularly work with staff, interns, and volunteers across different departments including Operations, Fund Development, and Finance.  Administratively, the WPC will report to the Director of International Programs. Organizationally, W|W operates from a Team of Teams model as opposed to a traditional hierarchical business model. This promotes shared consciousness, team collaboration, and empowered execution by all members of the staff and disallows one-way lines of decision-making and communication. The WPC will participate heavily in staff and interdepartmental meetings and seek out and engage in professional development opportunities. 


  • Lead the WASH Partner Team with the intent to find the best possible partners for W|W’s strategic vision.

    • To this end, seek partners who:

      • Align with W|W’s mission and purpose to support life and dignity of all.

      • Add value to W|W’s impact & storytelling.

      • Make the program financially self sustaining.

  • Oversee the annual creation and ongoing management of the WASH partner budget.

  • Identify & explore key networks within and outside the aid sector that can bring new WASH partners into the W|W network.

  • Engender trust with WASH partners by communicating W|W’s mission in a compelling way that is aligned with their needs and is within W|W’s capacity to support.

  • Regularly engage with existing and potential WASH partners to learn about their strengths, weaknesses, and overall needs in an effort to improve W|W’s value add.

    • This includes 3-4 domestic and/or international trips per year.

  • Establish & organize new WASH partners in accordance with W|W’s partner types (provincial, standard, & growth).

  • Manage the overall project partner workflow that includes:

    • Project proposals/requests, contract execution, training, resource procurement and delivery, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Establish and manage integrative approach for leveraging WASH partners, volunteers, and resources (primarily filters) in disaster relief preparedness and responses.

    • This may include unplanned travel into areas affected by disasters.

Wine To Water is looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual who can administratively support Wine To Water’s Finance team. This position reports to the Program Finance Coordinator and assists with daily financial tasks. This position will be an absolute asset to the heartbeat of the organization. This position will work with sensitive employee and company financial information on a daily basis, requiring a candidate who can maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This role is a great step towards a career in finance or accounting.


The Finance Assistant will support the entire Finance team in daily operations by performing office tasks such as filing, data entry, issuing checks, processing mail, gift processing, creating expense reports, printing and depositing checks, transaction reviews and other administrative functions as needed.


The Finance Assistant will report directly to the Program Finance Coordinator.


  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to think critically and problem solve

  • Prior spreadsheet experience

  • High level of Integrity


  • Bachelor’s Degree, or currently studying for Bachelor’s Degree

  • Finance or accounting major preferred

  • No prior experience necessary


This is a part-time, non-benefited position with Wine To Water. We ask 15-20 hrs/week. Based on experience the hourly rate will be $10-12/hr. We are looking to hire for a Nov. 1 2019 start date.
