International Fellow - Dominican Republic

Position: International Fellow, Full-Time
Location: Dominican Republic
Time Period: July 2019 - June 2020
Wine To Water’s International Fellows primarily serve to support the work of our International Programs, while also providing a life changing experience for volunteers from all backgrounds as they experience the world water crisis first hand.

Job Description:
The International Fellow’s primary responsibility is to act as liaison between W|W International and W|W DR. Furthermore, the fellow should actively support all functions and program initiatives including but not limited to: team communications, WaSH program implementation, community development, and volunteer team coordination. Lastly, the fellow should work in the spirit of interdependence, innovation, and quality growth to ensure W|W meets its strategic objectives while and supporting the overall mission of W|W.

Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills
Proficient in Google Drive & Microsoft Suite
Positive Attitude
Detail Oriented, and Organized
Responsibilities:
Volunteer Program Responsibilities
Volunteer team planning, hosting, and follow-up in accordance with Volunteer Program expectations.
Volunteer Logistics (food, housing, transportation and project) (support the Field Coordinator)
Have required documents with you at all times (EAP, Registration, Flight, etc.)
Support Field Coordinator with the volunteer budget preparations as needed
Be with or available to team 100% of the time
Communicate the schedule to the team, after developing it with the Field Coordinator
Lead evening debriefs with volunteers
Be aware of safety and security precautions
International Programs Responsibilities
Support Field Coordinator with project reporting in accordance with W|W mWater standards
Attend bi-weekly IP Strategy meeting via google meet
Assist NPM with office operations as needed
Communications and Research Responsibilities
Gathering and submitting impactful and relevant media content
Relationship building with local partners, donors, and program stakeholder
Reporting:
This position reports to the DR National Program Manager. There will be times when this position will liaison between HQ and the local DR staff. Constant collaboration between different departments and projects is highly encouraged throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
Support the Field Team in:
Support the identification and vetting of WaSH initiatives in support of W|W’s mission
Submission of project reporting in accordance with W|W mWater standards
Gathering and submitting impactful and relevant media content
Relationship building with local partners, donors, and program stakeholders
Volunteer team planning, hosting, and follow-up in accordance with Volunteer Program expectations.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
International travel experience
International experience leading teams strongly preferred
Compensation:
This position is for an International Fellowship. As a Fellow, this position will not be considered a salaried employee of Wine To Water, but instead an independent contractor. Wine To Water will pay or reimburse for any reasonable, necessary, and approved expenses for travel, food, and lodging for Wine To Water.
