Wine To Water is committed to support life and dignity for all through the power of clean water.

Overview Page.jpg

To achieve our mission, we as an organization not only raise funds to combat the world water crisis, but carry out our own programs in the field as well. Currently, Wine To Water has three international offices: in Nepal, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia. This means that, in each of these three countries, Wine To Water employs a team of nationals who work full time toward sustainable clean water solutions catered to the needs of that specific country. You can learn more about these three programs by clicking any of the links on the map above. Outside of Nepal, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia, Wine To Water is constantly branching into new territories through organizational partnerships and disaster relief preparedness. In these programs, we train our partners on the implementation of the Sawyer Filter, so that they may then incorporate these filters in their own programs, or respond to natural disasters with them. As with every aspect of our programs, this process depends entirely on the building of relationships, so that we may seek longer term solutions in these areas as one community.

In 2015, the United Nations set 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that "will mobilize efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind". Clean Water and Sanitation is Sustainable Development Goal number 6 of 17. Although Wine To Water did not partake in the formation of these goals, we align our projects with them in many ways. For instance, our projects in Nepal pipe water from the source directly to every household, as that is the nationally accepted standard for water access.
