Field Note #107: Welcomed in Nepal
This is probably my favorite picture I took this week in Nepal. Each family had this set out in front of their house, at the edge of the street, for us to see as we drove up. It signified that we were welcome there, and that they are blessing the new project we were about to begin. Feeling this welcome by their community made a huge impact on how we, the volunteer team and I, felt the whole week. It made me wonder if I make people feel that welcome in my house and community back home.
