Field Note #150: Gettin' Dirty for Clean Water
Not many people I know would volunteer to dig a hole filled with mud in their bare feet. But our team, a team of strangers who left as family, gladly jumped in that hole competing on who could get the dirtiest. Why? Well because of the smiling faces that greeted us each day. The gratitude was evident on their faces and the appreciation was obvious when they grabbed a shovel out of our hands to help. I came to Nepal to help the people there but they will never know just how much they helped me.
I am forever thankful to Wine to Water and the Dahakhani village.
