Field Note 156: WASH Training
Wine to Water Nepal organized four days of in-house training on WASH Project Sustainability. The goal was to enhance the capacity of field staff and local service providers in order to effectively and efficiently deliver WASH services at community level. This training was held from 27th-30th December 2017 in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal. The training was facilitated by Prajjwol Sharma, an expert in this area. Capacity building is essential as it enhances and builds knowledge and skills of individuals and allows them to be engaged in the process of learning and adapting to change. In other words, they can use their enhanced skills to strengthen the community capacities to make them able to handle their own development and make WASH project sustainable.
Participatory methodologies like group work, interactions, presentations, audio-visuals, role plays were followed throughout the training period. This is a simultaneous process of building capacity of our in-house staff as well the community.
Hoping for the best result out of it.
