Field Note #4: Wedding Bells
Every girl dreams of her wedding day….
What color flowers will I have? What will my dress look like? Who will I marry? Not being too far in to marriage myself, I know the details behind planning “the perfect wedding” can be stressful and exciting all at the same time. But truly, weddings are a joyous occasion that bring family & friends together to celebrate love and unity.
A few weeks back, I received a sweet email from Hannah Triplett requesting information on our wines and ways to incorporate the Wine To Water story in to her BIG DAY. After sharing some specifics and discussing a few options, Hannah and her fiance Erik decided, in an effort to give back, they would serve our Wine To Water private label wine at their reception as well as give a donation to the organization in lieu of wedding favors.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, & Pinot Noir
This selfless decision is creating a ripple effect for not only Hannah, Erik and their wedding guests, but also for those who go without clean water every day. Unfortunately, over 800 million people lack access to clean water and over 2.5 billion lack access to improved sanitation. The impact of Hannah & Erik’s decision to give back is being felt around the world through the gift of clean water. Thank you Hannah & Erik for your humility and your willingness to give of your special day to celebrate life. Cheers to you and a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure!
Are you wondering how you can incorporate Wine To Water in to your upcoming nuptials? Here are a few ideas…
- Serve Wine To Water private label wine
- Donate in lieu of wedding favors
- Honeymoon with Wine To Water on one of our service trips and see first-hand how we operate on the ground

More on the happy couple…
Both native to the High Country, Hannah & Erik attended the same high school and had many mutual friends growing up, but their paths wouldn’t cross until years later. It wasn’t until they met again through family that they would really start their journey together. Since then, they have been inseparable knowing early on that they were a perfect fit for each other.
